Meet Melissa Bartlett

Melissa Bartlett grew up in southwest Iowa and attended college in Phoenix, AZ. In 2012, she started working at Medicap Pharmacy in Boone, IA, under the mentorship of Jim Carlson. It was during her time at Medicap that Melissa began to develop a passion for assisting individuals adversely affected by hearing loss. She saw the negative impact on, not only the individual, but the family as well, and she also saw how helping people hear greatly improved their quality of life. In the beginning of 2019, Melissa opened HearSound, Inc., with the primary focus of helping people hear within the Boone community. She is proud to have the freedom to be customer-driven and strives to implement the same care of her patients that she learned under Jim Carlson. Melissa is a member of the International Hearing Society and the local Boone Chamber of Commerce. She also works closely with the local Lions’ Club, who helps those who qualify have access to the hearing instruments they need. Melissa and her husband, Timothy, have a love for the community and live in Boone with their three children.
